The tools were tested in the optician sector, and for dental technicians, but it is quite adaptable and transferable to other sectors.

Among the tools and resources an educational package includes:
- Online training for mobility referents
- Documents relating to the implementation of virtual mobility (description, program evaluation criteria)

Indeed, in the framework of the Euro-DIM, virtual mobility aims to:
• compensate for the often short duration (about 15 days) courses of physical mobility of apprentices by removing language and cultural barriers and facilitating the integration and adaptation during physical mobility, and strengthening the skills acquired after.
• develop social relations with other European apprentices: mobility is used to maintain "social" relations in the broadest sense of the term. If we consider that moving means also establishing / maintaining social relationships of all kinds, it now appears inappropriate to distinguish between mobility called "physical" and "virtual" mobility. For EURO-DIM, virtual mobility contributes to the development of the "social capital", of the apprentices of the EURO-DIM network and to their investment in the European Community.
• finally virtual mobility develop a form of “mobility for all”: financing options often limit the number of physical mobility and virtual mobility address those who cannot afford mobility; for those who have the possibility it is an effective way to develop their motivation.
