BASIC LABEL

The label: a tool to enhance companies’ involvement in the mobility process

Training centres mobilise and help companies ideally during all phases of the organisation of mobility (before, during, after):
  • The company should agree on learning goals, be involved in the positioning and (professional) preparation of the candidates and participate in the evaluation / assessment process of the mobility period.
  • Hosting companies are asked to offer suitable and high quality learning and work environments matching previous identified learning goals or learner’s profile. A tutor should be appointed for organising support and the follow-up of the learner.
  • Hosting / sending companies should participate in the evaluation and assessment of acquired competences and the learner’s progress.

A label for recognition

One of the main problems raised by the VET actors and mobility organisers is the difficulty to implicate companies in this process. The main objective of the EAS label is to raise interest among companies and sector organisations and to valorise the role and commitment of companies. The “label” is seen as a mark of recognition enhancing visibility of company’s engagements. It is a self-commitment but delivered by the training center or stakeholder close to the company. A “label” constitutes:
  • a source of information for external people: “this company respects/complies following criteria”.
  • a symbol of belonging: “my company is member of the “club” supporting the transnational learning mobility”

How to deliver the label to a company?

  1. The company is agreeing about commitments (see label criterias). In some EU countries there is no need to sign the commitments, but at least intermediate organisations (members) should check these assignments together with the company.
  1. The company is sending / hosting an apprentice.
  1. The EAs member is organising the evaluation of the placement, including the fulfillments of the label criterias with the company.
  1. The EAs Member is delivering the label (certificate and sticker) to the sending companies in his couhntry / or hosting companies in his country which received a foreign apprentice.
You can get the label tools online: you just need to fill the form in order to customise and download the certificate. The information will be stored in a database but not published.
  1. The certificate and an adhesive / sticker can be handed out to the company. Please contact the project partner in your country or APCMA to get the stickers.
